# Remove in metadata

Remove a specific nested path from a metadata object.

## Request arguments

### `key` (string)

**Required**. The unique key for the metadata.

### `path` (string)

**Required**. The dot-separated path to remove.

### `version` (number)

_Optional_. The version number for optimistic locking.
